How do I order on powellsjewellery.com?
Once you have found the item you would like to purchase, click on the ADD TO BAG button to place it in your shopping bag. Follow the directions through the checkout process to complete your order.
Your order will not be placed until the very end of the checkout process, when you will be asked for your payment information. To complete your order, you might be asked to confirm your identity via a multi-factor authentication process required by your bank.
Can I buy an engagement ring totally online?
Yes you can purchase any of our engagement rings online, you may wish to talk to us about resizing which you can do via live chat, email or phone.

What online payment methods does Powells accept?
We accept online payment from all major credit/debit cards, including American Express, and Paypal. We also offer a “Pay by Bank Transfer’ and ‘Pay on Collection’ service, where you can pay by bank transfer or pay in-store before you collect your item.
Will I be charged additional taxes and duties when ordering from outside the UK?
You may be charged additional taxes and duties in the country you order to, you should familiarize yourself with these charges before you order internationally.
What happens to my customer information, and does it comply with GDPR rules?
I have an in-store credit note, can I use it online?
At present you are only about to use in-store credit notes in-store.
Is VAT charged online and can I claim it back?
We are a VAT registered business, therefore VAT is charged on all of our transactions. If you require a VAT invoice please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Do Powells offer a finance plan online?
At present we do not offer finance plans online, we hope to be able to do this in the near future.
How will my order be packaged?
Your order will be gift wrapped and well packaged to ensure safe delivery.
Returns & Refunds
What is your in-store returns policy?
For in-store purchases, we do not give refunds; however, we will gladly exchange or raise a credit note within 28 days of purchase. Credit notes are only valid up to 1 year after the credit note is raised.
What is your online returns policy?
We provide 30-day refunds for all orders placed online. If the return exceeds the 30-day window, you will only be entitled to an exchange or credit note. Items must be returned in the same condition as when purchased and any alterations as requested by or carried out by the customer will void the right to return. The return cost is to be incurred by the customer and it is recommended the item is shipped with appropriate insurance cover as Powells Jewellery will not be held liable for damages or items being lost in transit.
Delivery & Shipping
What are the delivery times and rates?
All orders over £100 and within the UK are delivered free of charge, delivery is subject to stock availability, and we aim to deliver within 3 working days. Should there be a delay we will get in touch with you. All items are packed in-house, we send everything fully insured and posted using Royal Mail Signed For Next Day delivery that will require a signature upon receipt. Should you require delivery on a particular day please let us know and we will endeavour to meet your needs, you can do this by ‘leaving a note on your order’ on the shopping cart page, or you are welcome to call or email us.
We offer a click and collect service free of charge, if required for a particular day please get in touch with us. Otherwise, we aim to get orders ready for collection for the next working day. Please bring along with you a valid form of ID to match your order details for collection.
Can I ship my order to a location outside of the UK?
Should you require overseas shipping please contact us for a quote. Customs and duty fees are the responsibility of the buyer so please check this in advance of your purchase.
Are Powells products insured when shipped?

How do I track my online order?

Valuations & Insurance
Can you insure jewellery from Powells?
Yes all of our items are able to be insured.
How do I get hold of an insurance valuation for my jewellery?
You can get in touch to arrange a valuation for your jewellery on our contact page here.
Do you have to pay for an insurance valuation?
We charge a standard fee for the first jewellery item and then a surcharge for each additional item to be valued.
Repairs & Care Services
What jewellery cleaning and care services does Powells offer?
We offer in-store jewellery cleaning and silver polishing. We offer a selection of additional repairs and services here.
How often should I get my jewellery cleaned?
Items worn regularly should be cleaned and checked every few months. We recommend that you bring diamond jewellery for review at least once a year. This is especially important for engagement rings, but also applies to any regularly worn pieces. Please see our aftercare guide here.
Can my jewellery get wet?
While most of our jewellery can get wet with little to no impact, we recommend removing all jewellery before engaging in the following activities; household and outdoor chores, showering, bathing or swimming in pools, hot tubs, hot springs and the ocean, using lotion, hair products, fragrances and other cosmetics and exercising at the gym or during contact sports.

We offer complimentary resizing for all Powells engagement ring purchases. To have your ring resized, please visit us in-store or contact us here. While there are not restrictions on resizing, we recommend against resizing your ring multiple times. Can I add a personal touch to my engagement purchase?
Yes, we offer ring engraving. Whether it be a special date, initials or a romantic note, our team is on hand to arrange a personalised service.
